Facilitator
Role and Key Purpose:
To ensure that each and every delegate gets the most out of the programme and is supported, motivated, and kept safe during the seminar.

Role Overview:
Inspire and support the delegates, ensuring they achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Tasks/ Responsibilities:
– To lead a group of 6-10 delegates.
– To prepare and facilitate inspirational group times.
– To provide pastoral support for delegates.
– To lead/ participate in cheers.
– To ensure delegates participate fully in all seminar activities.
– To ensure delegates adhere to HOBY Code of Conduct.
– To lead other elements of the programme as directed.

Specific Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills, presence, resilience, empathy, able to listen, able to design and run engaging group sessions.

Section Leader
Role and Key Purpose:
To oversee and develop the Facilitators and Facilitator Assistants.

Role Overview:
To promote high levels of performance and development across a number of groups and ensuring effective communication to a large number of delegates.

Key Tasks/ Responsibilities:
– To assist facilitators in group time planning.
– To lead section times throughout the seminar.
– To ensure delegate participation.
– To communicate effectively with Directors for the benefit of volunteer and delegate welfare.
– To guide volunteer development. Some Training responsibilities.

Specific Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills, presence, resilience, empathy, able to listen, able to design and run engaging group sessions.

Assistant Section Leader
Role and Key Purpose:
To ensure that each and every delegate gets the most out of the  programme and is supported, motivated, and kept safe during the seminar.

– To assist facilitators in leading groups of delegates.
– To aid facilitators in inspirational group times.
– To be prepared to lead a group time if necessary.
– To lead/ participate in cheers.
– To ensure delegates participate fully in seminar activities.
– To ensure delegates adhere to HOBY Code of Conduct.
– To assist in other elements of the programme as directed. To take on opportunities to enhance learning experience within the seminar.

Seminar Assistant
Role and Key Purpose:
To help ensure the seminar runs smoothly and effectively. To help promote a positive image of HOBY UK to delegates, their parents and schools, alumni, volunteers and potential sponsors and funders.

Role Overview:
Works as member of Ops team. Promote and facilitate HOBY UK through the website, Facebook pages and Twitter accounts and develop a presence on other media (TV, newspapers, etc)

Key Tasks/ Responsibilities:
To organise room layouts for all events, provide IT support, staff HOBY shop, organise and tidy stock.
To photograph/ video events and activities.
To capture ‘impact’ feedback from delegates, volunteers and guests.
To select, edit and prepare media content, press releases, etc.
To drive social media content and strategies Manage website content (Depends on skills and experience).

Specific Requirements:
Logistics, IT or retail skills desirable. Involves physical tasks. IT or Media experience is ideal, but some familiarity is required. Great interpersonal and communication. Photography skills are desirable.
