HOBY WLC
HOBY’s World Leadership Congress (WLC) is held at an American university campus at the end of July. The event brings together over 400 young people from across the United States and around the world for eight days of inspiration, discovery and fun.
HOBY UK organises visits to WLC and everyone describes the experience as ‘life-changing’. Participants make friends from all over the world and leave feeling empowered, with the tools and support they need to reach their goals and be an active global citizen.

Albert Schweitzer Leadership for Life
‘Albert Schweitzer Leadership for Life’ runs a eight-day International Youth Leadership Conference at Maynooth University, near Dublin, Ireland at the end of July. The leadership programme is led by a team of HOBY facilitators and there is also plenty of time for fun social activities and sightseeing experiences.
Each year a party from HOBY UK join young people from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Palestine, the USA, and other countries to learn more about our global community, make new friends and take their leadership skills to the next level.
